D'Wayne Wiggins, President and Creative Director
Grammy Award winning artist D'Wayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! Toné! serves as Youth Aid's Creative Director and has been instrumental in establishing the foundation of the organization. As a community advocate he demonstrates his belief that music is one of the most effective tools in preventing young adults from being caught up in the cycle of violence; providing opportunities to the next generation of musicians and artists.
Frances Goodson, Executive Director
Frances has over 20 years' experience working with nonprofit organizations, spearheading and coordinating city and state wide programs, activities and events. She has coordinated events with Danny Glover, was a board member of the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar and has multiple years of experience in the field of music and arts. Although her degree is in political science, her passion has been in working with the under-served in the Oakland communities. For the past 8 years, she has worked closely with youth of all ages. She has a heartfelt, deep appreciation for Youth Aid's mission of serving and mentoring the youth community at large and is excited about being a part of the the growth and future expansion of the organization.
