Melvin and Nicole Barnett
CPR and First Aid Instructors
Mr. Melvin and Dr. Nicole Barnett have been teaching CPR and First Aid classes together for more than 10 years. They are certified instructors with both the American Heart Association and the Emergency Care and Safety Institute. With Nicole’s background in nursing and public health and Melvin’s background in human resources and clinical psychiatry, they draw on their real-life experiences to make their classes fun and relatable to real life for all ages. The Barnett’s have a particular interest in supporting the emergency action training of school, community and faith based groups and are long time active members of the Health Ministry at their home church.
Mr. Barnett is a Bay Area native and Dr. Barnett moved to the Bay Area as a teenager from Akron, Ohio. They will be celebrating their 29th anniversary in October and have two children, Daniel 21 a college student and assistant CPR trainer, and Victoria, 19, a college student majoring in Neuroscience at the University of Nevada.
